Nothing beats aromatic mulled wine to warm up and celebrate the holidays! This version uses MerveilleNature's ready-to-use, simple and effective mulled wine spice mix for a balanced and delicious taste.

Ingredients for 1 bottle of wine (750 ml)

1 bottle of fruity red wine: Côtes du Rhône, Merlot, Gamay, Bordeaux or Cabernet Franc

2 to 3 tablespoons of mulled wine spice mix (cinnamon, cloves, ginger, freeze-dried orange peel, cardamom, nutmeg)

1 fresh orange, washed and sliced

2 fresh oranges for squeezing (the juice will be added after cooking)

6 tablespoons of honey or raspberry syrup (optional, according to your taste)

Optional: a few slices of fresh ginger or a squeeze of orange juice for added freshness
Preparing mulled wine

Pour the wine into a heavy-bottomed saucepan.

Add the spice mix and heat gently over medium-low heat. Let it infuse for 10 to 15 minutes without bringing it to a boil, so that the wine absorbs the aromas.

Add the orange slices a few minutes before the end.

Remove the pan from the heat and then add the honey (or raspberry syrup) and the juice of two squeezed oranges . Mix gently.

Decorate with an orange slice or a cinnamon stick for a festive touch.

Serve hot, ideally in mugs or thick cups.
Tips for the perfect mulled wine

For a sweeter mulled wine, add a little more honey at the end of the infusion.
