Revive your energy with a detox cleanse!

After months of hibernating under layers of blankets and fueled by raclette grills, it's time to open the windows, let your house and, above all, your body breathe! Spring is the season of renewal, when nature gently awakens. It's also the perfect time to rid your body of the toxins accumulated during the winter and regain all your energy.

Why a detox cleanse in the spring?

Winter often puts our immune system to the test with heavier meals and reduced physical activity (thanks, Netflix). As a result, toxins accumulate and can cause fatigue, dull skin, digestive issues, and even a few extra pounds. A spring detox helps support the organs responsible for eliminating waste—the liver, kidneys, intestines, and skin—so you can get back on track!

How to prepare for your detox treatment?

To begin, adopt a lighter, more fiber-rich diet. Say goodbye to processed foods and hello to fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade juices, and beneficial herbal teas. A glass of warm water with lemon in the morning can also work wonders by stimulating the liver first thing in the morning.

Targeting key organs

Is your liver feeling sluggish? A course of dandelion and rosemary can help it detoxify after all the winter indulgences. Are your kidneys begging for a break? Nettle is here to help. And for your skin, consider decoctions of burdock root or wild pansy, perfect for a radiant, filter-free complexion.

  • 2 tbsp of blackcurrant leaves (helps drain waste and supports kidney function)

  • 2 tbsp of nettle leaves (rich in minerals, stimulates detoxification and kidney elimination)
  • 1 tsp of wild pansy flowers (improves skin health, purifying and anti-inflammatory)
  • 1 tsp of rosemary (stimulates liver function and improves circulation)

Method :

  1. Infuse 1 tbsp of the mixture in a cup of water for 10-15 minutes.
  2. Drink 3 times a day for 21 days, after meals, to promote detoxification of the liver, kidneys and skin, and remineralize the body.

This herbal tea is ideal to accompany a change of season and help your body get rid of accumulated toxins.

Don't neglect physical activity!

Walk, garden, stretch… Moving helps activate circulation, flush out toxins, and banish that dreaded "spring fatigue." Even a simple stroll in the sunshine can boost your mood and vitamin D levels.

One last piece of advice before we begin

Take it easy! The idea is to cleanse, not to end up exhausted like after a marathon. So, let yourself be guided by nature's rhythms and take advantage of this time to recharge your batteries. After all, spring only lasts three months, so you might as well make the most of it!
