Cold and Flu Herbal Tea: herbal infusion to help with colds
Cold and Flu Herbal Tea: herbal infusion to help with colds
What if you could help your body through colds, cup after cup?
Runny nose or stuffy nose, sore throat, scratchy throat, chills, fatigue... Whether in the middle of winter or during a summer cold (air conditioning, thunderstorms, too cold swimming), these little annoyances deserve gentle support. A natural remedy for colds and flu, to have on hand all year round.
Like all our herbal teas, it supports the body's comfort daily against flu-like symptoms — it does not treat the flu and does not replace medical care in case of high or persistent fever.

A synergy of seven plants to help with colds
Cold weather, seasonal fatigue, and minor colds can disrupt our daily comfort. Our cold and flu herbal tea combines seven complementary plants, selected for their traditional use in herbal medicine during periods of cold — whether in winter or during an unusually cool summer.
Wild Thyme (Thymus serpyllum): With a milder fragrance than classic thyme, wild thyme is valued in herbal medicine for its soothing effect on the throat and respiratory passages, particularly in cases of cough or irritation. Its pleasant flavor makes it a plant well-tolerated by the whole family, including children.
Marshmallow (Althaea officinalis): Rich in mucilage, marshmallow root has long been recognized for its softening effect on irritated throats and dry coughs — a valuable ally during a cold.
Linden (Tilia cordata): Linden is a comforting plant par excellence, appreciated for its calming effect at the end of the day. In case of a cold, it readily accompanies moments of rest and promotes a general sense of relaxation.
Elderberry (Sambucus nigra): Rich in antioxidants, elderberry flowers support the body during colds and provide welcome respiratory comfort.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale Roscoe): A warming and tonic root, ginger warms the body from within, particularly appreciated during colds and seasonal fatigue. It is also known for its role in digestive comfort.
Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum): Used for centuries in herbal medicine, Ceylon cinnamon warms the body and adds a gourmet and comforting note to the infusion, particularly welcome during colds.
Sweet Orange (Citrus sinensis): Sweet orange peel brings a sunny and slightly tart note that mellows the infusion. It naturally contains vitamin C, a nutrient that contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system.
Together, these seven plants form a synergy designed to gently support minor colds, provide comfort and warmth, whatever the season.

Plants from passionate small producers
We work mainly with small Polish producers committed to agriculture that respects plants and the environment.
Most of our plants are not organic certified, mainly because certification processes are often too expensive for small artisanal farms. However, this does not question the quality of their work or their cultivation methods.
Our producers favor natural and traditional practices, such as the use of plant preparations based on nettle or comfrey rather than aggressive chemical treatments.

Preparation method
What to drink when you have a cold or flu-like symptoms? This herbal tea is designed for just that: warm, comforting, and easy to prepare.
Pour 1 tablespoon of herbs into a cup of hot water. Let it infuse for 10 to 15 minutes covered, then enjoy it hot.
Drink 2 to 3 cups per day, at the first signs of a cold.
For children aged 3 to 6 : prepare an infusion that is twice as diluted (half the amount of herbs for the same amount of water), at a rate of one cup per day maximum. From age 6, the adult dose is suitable.
When using for the first time in children, start with a small amount to check for good tolerance, particularly with regard to ginger, whose pungent taste may not be well tolerated by some young children.
Recommended uses
Unlike a long-term treatment, this herbal tea is used on an as-needed basis, at the first signs of symptoms, and throughout the duration of the cold—generally no more than 1 to 2 consecutive weeks.
A 50g sachet corresponds to approximately one week's use, for a consumption of 2 to 3 cups per day. -
Precautions for use
• Ginger: use with caution if you are on anticoagulant therapy, have gallstones, or before surgery
• Ceylon Cinnamon: if you have diabetes and are on antidiabetic treatment, monitor your blood sugar levels, as cinnamon may enhance the effect of certain treatments
• Marshmallow: due to its mucilage content, it may slow the absorption of other substances taken at the same time - allow at least 1 to 2 hours between taking any medication
Not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women, unless otherwise advised by a healthcare professional. Not recommended for children under 3 years old. Do not consume if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
Store in a cool, dry, and tightly sealed place, away from light, out of reach of children.
The information presented is based on traditional uses of plants in herbal medicine and does not constitute medical advice. It does not replace a medical consultation, particularly in cases of high or persistent fever.
