Preparation method:
When you want to mix rose hips with leaves, flowers, or tender parts of other plants, prioritize preparation as an infusion. However, if you are using rose hips alone, opt for a decoction.
• Infusion: To prepare an infusion, use 4 to 6 rose hips for 250 ml of simmering water, at a temperature between 80 and 90°C. Let steep for 10 minutes, after a prior 2-minute decoction to extract the active ingredients. It is advisable to consume 2 to 3 cups per day.
• Decoction: For a decoction, also count 4 to 6 rose hips for 250 ml of boiling water. Boil at 100°C for 2 minutes, then let steep for 10 minutes before straining. This method is ideal when rose hips are used alone in the herbal tea. You can also drink 2 to 3 cups per day.
Recommended uses:
• Ideal in case of temporary fatigue to strengthen the immune system. • Recommended during the winter months to support respiratory health and prevent discomfort from the cold. • Use to support digestion after large or heavy meals. • Perfect for improving joint mobility and flexibility, especially in active people or seniors.
