Why choose this plant in bulk? Benefits and everyday uses
-
• Sleep & relaxation: Linden is known for its calming properties on the nervous system. It helps reduce tension, promotes sleep, and improves sleep quality—in both adults and children. One cup before bed is enough to feel the effects.
• Digestion & intestinal comfort: After a heavy meal or in case of bloating, linden gently facilitates digestion, supports liver function, and soothes digestive discomfort.
• Throat & respiratory tract: Its soothing properties make it a valuable ally in cases of throat irritation, sensitive pharynx, or mild cough. It also supports expectoration and helps the respiratory tract function better.
-
• Natural defenses : Linden contributes to strengthening immune defenses, especially during seasonal changes or periods of fatigue.
• Drainage & urinary comfort : Less known but just as valuable — linden stimulates kidney elimination, promotes drainage, and helps reduce water retention.
-
Preparation method:
Infusion : Pour one tablespoon of herbs per cup (approximately 250 ml) into simmering water, then let it steep covered for 5 to 10 minutes.
Recommended uses:
• Infusion : Drink 3 to 4 hot cups of linden tea daily, including one before bed to help you fall asleep and reduce stress. After meals, a cup can aid digestion and soothe the stomach. In case of throat irritation, the infusion is also ideal for relieving and softening. You can sweeten the tea with a little honey.
• Steam Bath : Recommended for facial care, the linden steam bath softens and beautifies the skin. Boil water, remove it from the heat, add a handful of linden flowers, and expose your face to the steam. Perform two steam baths daily. For a relaxing effect, add this infusion to your bathwater before bed, ideal for reducing insomnia and soothing nervousness.
• Compresses : Applied to the skin, linden compresses are effective for skin conditions and beauty care. Soak compresses in an infusion of 100 g of linden flowers per liter of water. Change them every 5 minutes and apply them 2 to 3 times a day for optimal results.
